In 1817, John and Thomas McClelland began whisky production in Bladnoch, Scotland, which remained in family ownership until 1905. The distillery had a turbulent history, changing hands several times, but eventually found new life when Australian businessman David Prior purchased it in 2015, leading to its official reopening in 2017

Bladnoch's distillery has garnered a devoted following for a compelling reason. Nick Savage, the Master Distiller, left Macallan to embrace the unique creative freedom offered by Bladnoch's visionary owner, David Prior. This shift has led to the crafting of exceptional whiskies that delight the palate.

A cult favourite originating from the serene Lowlands of Scotland, this release marks our inaugural offering from this region to the Co-op. The Bladnoch Distillery brings in this luscious single cask whisky matured in a first-fill bourbon cask, reaching an impressive cask strength of 53.2%. It patiently rested for a full 16 years before we carefully bottled it exclusively for the Co-op.

As you bring it to your nose, delicate florals dance gracefully with honey and invigorating citrus, creating an enticing aroma.
